LOCAL - Rosa Parks Dead at 92

Detroit native Rosa Parks died Monday at her residence in the Riverfront Apartments. She died of natural causes. She will be remembered for starting the Montgomery public bus boycotts in 1955. The bus is on display at the Henry Ford Museum.

There are proposals in the state House and Senate to rename the local Homeland Security Office to the "Rosa Parks Federal Building." MI's entire congressional delegations supports the proposals, which are pending in separate committees.
