Police released a sketch on Tuesday of a man wanted in connection with a home invasion in Bloomfield Township. A homeowner said he was returning his lawnmower to his garage at about 12:30 p.m. on Friday when a man surprised him, assaulted him and eventually forced him into his home, police said. The attacker tied up the victim and left the residence on Club Drive with the victim's wallet containing a small amount of cash, according to police.

The man fled in the victim's red 1993 Dodge Caravan with the Michigan license plate No. JDG82.

Police said no weapon was seen during the incident. The victim was not injured.

The attacker was described as white, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 45 years old with "bushy" brown hair and a beard, police said. The man also had tattoos on both arms and was wearing a black T-shirt and gray shorts.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Department's aviation unit and the Southfield Police Department's K-9 unit both assisted Bloomfield Township police in their search for the man.
