Crimestoppes Alert

The family of a 56-year-old man is asking for help in locating a hit-and-run driver who left him in critical condition. Lazlo Latits (pictured) was riding his motorcycle on the Davison Freeway, near Lasalle, in Detroit at about 5 p.m. on Monday when he was hit by a vehicle. Witnesses described the vehicle as a red Chevrolet Beretta with a black female driver.

Latits remains hospitalized Wednesday at Henry Ford Hospital. His family said doctors removed his spleen and pancreas and may also remove a kidney.
