Husband Sets Wife on Fire

WTOP Radio reports that a man in Clinton, MD set his wife on fire Monday inside the mobile phone store where she worked. The woman was working at T-Mobile store when her estranged husband walked in about 10 a.m. and doused her with gasoline. The woman ran outside, but the man chased her, then lit her clothes with a match.

Someone at the store was able to put out the fire, police said, but not before the woman suffered second- and third-degree burns to more than 50 percent of her body. She was hospitalized in serious condition Monday night.

The suspect fled the scene in a burgundy Dodge minivan and was still at large Monday night. He was identified as Roger Byron Hargrave, 33, whose last known address was in Temple Hills.

The victim's sister, Shareen Jackson, said she knows the suspect, and he is extremely unstable.
"He's not in the right frame of mind. He should not be approached. He's a dangerous man," Jackson said.
